Piñata Contest

The Batesville AmigoFest committee invites local schools to participate in the lively celebration of Hispanic culture, music, food, and diversity. The event will be held at Lyon College on October 5th. The first AmigoFest last year was a great success, attracting over 2,000 attendees, and this year promises even greater participation. The organizers are excited to offer schools the opportunity to take part in this special event.

Each participating school is asked to enter one piñata in the appropriate categories (Elementary, Junior High, and High School) for the chance to win the Best Elementary/Junior High/High School Piñata Contest.

As a celebration of participation, the students can break their piñatas after AmigoFest at their school, while plenty of piñatas will also be available to break at the event.

Contest Guidelines

Each school may register one piñata per category:
- 1 for Elementary
- 1 for Junior High
- 1 for High School
The piñata must be made by the children with help from the staff if necessary.
- Piñatas that have been purchased will be disqualified.
The piñata must have a cardboard/newspaper base body.

The piñata must have an opening to insert candy/toys.
The piñata should have a hook for hanging.
If decorations are made, they must be executed by hand without computer prints.
The piñata can be any shape, theme, and size (remember you will have to drop off and pick up).
The piñata should be empty for the contest.

Piñata Contest Entry

Arrangements for someone to drop off and pick up their piñata on the day of the event.

Drop-off begins at 10:00 a.m. and should be in place by 2:00 p.m.

Winners will be announced between 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

If a school is unable to drop off the piñata on that day, alternative arrangements can be discussed.
